Call Me Alma 2023 Story/Plot –
Vivamax Original’s Call Me Alma movie is a powerful story of resilience, identity, and the unbreakable bond of a mother and daughter. Alma, better known as Azzi Acosta, has found herself in a world of high-end bars and prostitution. She has made a firm decision to make this her profession, her way to achieve her dreams and find happiness. Her clients are usually wealthy men, and two of them hold a special place in her life: Tiger Joe, a wealthy lawyer, and Kabayo, a bank executive.
But there is much more to Alma’s story. A student who is very fond of her is also her regular mentor. His life takes an unexpected turn when Sheela, an aging street prostitute, played by Jacqueline Jose, enters his world. Amazingly, Sheila claims to be Alma’s long-lost mother, who had to make the heartbreaking decision to give her up to strangers after she was born.
This revelation opens the door to Alma’s past, a past she has long avoided. The discovery of their father’s identity and the painful truths lurking beneath the surface force Alma and Sheila to confront the harsh realities of their lives as women who have struggled with poverty and relied on men to survive. The combination of Mack Alejandre and Ricky Lee never fails to impress. The film is beautifully written and the cast has finally delivered in this unique Vivamax film.
The film is divided into two parts (for me)
The first part is the usual sexy trademark of #Vivamax that loyal customers are looking for. Azi Acosta will not let you down in his scenes here, Azi will never let you down, will he?
The second part MMK believes you can watch on the big screen. It was the show of Eazy and Jacqueline Jose as they created a different kind of buzz here. Without the sexy scenes, you wouldn’t think it’s a Vivamax movie, it’s more like Viva One material.
Aji is really good. He has reached a different level after his stellar performance in #Pamasahe. She’s getting better and she needs more content like this that doesn’t just show off her body.
Jacqueline Jose is also very good. You can say that Ms. is really very talented. Jacqueline when it comes to these roles. The two compliment each other and you can really feel their scenes here. I loved how they made the mother and daughter relationship so believable.
You also had great supporting actors like Sir Mon Confiado to back him up, who is always a reliable support in any film. You also have Gold Aceron, Joseph Elizalde and Aiko Garcia who color the film.
Call Me Alma is a cool addition to the popular streaming platform. A film that will leave you in awe of the talent of the actors playing in it. The story was brilliant and the classic genre approach also added to the beauty of the film.
